Got Maskne?

Frequent use of facial masks is leading to new or worsening acne flares otherwise known as “maskne” in many of our patients.

Wearing masks, especially this time of year, traps heat, humidity, and moisture which can irritate the skin. Combine that with physical contact from masks rubbing against the face and you have a set-up for clogged pores, trapped dirt, and bacteria.
