You may have met our lead nurse Chelsea Howell, LPN – but do you really know her? Learn what her favorite products are, why she’s passionate about healthy skin and much more in her Q + A below!
Q: Where did you attend school?
A: I spent most of my time at The University of Tennessee…GO VOLS! I also attended Tennessee Technology, where I earned my nursing license.
Q: What is your favorite treatment or product at REN?
A: Latisse + lash extensions by (our LA) Kara! It’s so nice not having to worry about mascara and to wake up with gorgeous lashes every morning. They are weightless, painless and so easy to maintain. I also love Clarisonic, which we sell at REN. I have always struggled with acne and this makes such a huge difference with deep pore cleansing.
Q: What is your guilty pleasure?
A: Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked ice cream — for breakfast! I’m the junk-food addict in the office. 🙂
Q: What sets REN apart from other dermatology clinics?
A: Our doctor, hands down. I have never worked with a doctor that cares more about her patients. Dr. Lee goes above and beyond to make sure her patients and staff are well taken care of.
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: That’s a hard one but if I have to pick, I’d probably say The Holiday — I’m a sucker for romantic comedies and happy endings.
Q: Tell us about somebody who has impacted your life in a major way.
A: His name is Judson, and he lives at an orphanage in Haiti. My husband and I have visited there several times and he holds a special place in both of our hearts. We have learned a lot from him about what faith and unconditional love really mean.
Q: Describe yourself in two words.
A: Positive and driven.
Q: What’s one thing you could never live without?
A: Music — life is just better when you have it in the background!
Q: What is your best skincare advice?
A: Prevention is key! I worked at a tanning salon throughout college and did not take the best care of my skin. I now realize how important it is to protect it for the future. My motto is “sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen — rain or shine!”
