Common questions.
Do I need a referral?
Most patients do not need a referral to see us. A small number of insurance plans require one, so if you're unsure, check with your plan or give us a call and we'll help you sort it out.
Which location should I choose?
Both offices offer medical and cosmetic care, so choose whichever is more convenient. Our Franklin office is at 155 Covey Drive and our Brentwood office is at 1195 Old Hickory Boulevard. The scheduler shows availability across both.
How do cosmetic consultations work?
Consultations for Botox and filler are complimentary. If you'd like to explore our broader range of cosmetic treatments, consultations are $75, so if your conversation goes beyond Botox and filler, a fee may apply. Either way, you'll meet with one of our aesthetic providers, talk through your goals, and leave with a personalized plan. There's never any obligation to book treatment.
What insurance do you accept?
We participate in most major insurance plans, including many plans through United Healthcare, Aetna, Humana, Cigna (excluding the Connect/EPO network), and Blue Cross Blue Shield (excluding Network E). We are also in network with Medicare and several BCBS, UHC/AARP, and Humana Medicare Advantage plans. At this time we are unable to see Healthspring, Oscar, Medicaid, or PHCS/Multiplan patients, including TennCare, Amerigroup/Wellpoint, CoverKids, United Healthcare Community Plan, and BlueCare. Coverage varies by plan, so please verify with your carrier before your visit. Cosmetic and spa services are self-pay.
Can I book Botox online?
Yes. Select the cosmetic visit type in the scheduler above and you'll see current availability for Botox at both locations.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Plan to arrive about 15 minutes early to complete your new patient paperwork, or finish it ahead of time through our patient portal. We'll take care of the rest.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you. For standard appointments, we ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule; cancellations with less notice incur a $50 fee, and missed appointments without notice incur a $100 fee. For procedures and extended visits of 30 minutes or more, we ask for 48 hours' notice; late cancellations incur a $100 fee and missed appointments a $200 fee. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling.
