Kirsten Kelly’s Five “Must-Haves” For Your Holiday Glam Bag
I can’t believe it’s almost Thanksgiving! Christmas parties will soon begin and New Years will be here before you know it. The holiday season is so much fun–especially for us ladies because it’s a great excuse to dress up and play with new looks.
Great makeup willl finish off that party ensemble you can’t wait to wear, but it’s important to know which products to use… which can be very overwhelming since there are SO many out there! I’ve listed my top five picks for products that can be mixed & matched to create all kinds of looks, and add a healthy glow to your winter regimen.
THE PRODUCTS
1. Beautycounter Lustro Oil #2 | Hold on to your GLOW this winter. If you don’t already have a beauty oil in your arsenal, I highly recommend you get one! I love Beautycounter because they are dedicated to creating safe beauty products that DELIVER. As temperatures fall so does humidity, and our skin needs a little boost in the moisture department to keep from drying out. Mix in a couple drops with your moisturizer or use it before applying your makeup–it doubles beautifully as a primer under your foundation, giving your entire face a lovely illuminated glow. This is most definitely my favorite serum that I’ve used because it feels amazing and smells wonderful.
2. Jergens BB Body Cream | I discovered this magic over the summer and I’m still a believer. It smooths, tones and adds a glow all over your body–just like a BB cream for your face! The best part is you can find it at Target, Walmart and almost any drugstore.
3. Eyeko Eyeliner | This guy glides on super smooth, doesn’t dry out and provides excellent precision! I love it and use it almost daily. Plus, who doesn’t want to bust out the cat-eye at least once during the holidays??
4. MAC Lipstick in ‘Sin’ | I have been obsessed with this product all year long. It’s such a powerful punch of dramatic color, and it’s almost as if it screams, “I’m brave!” Matched with a clean face and light eye, this color is a seasonal must, (at least once!) and I guarantee you will feel like the sauciest girl in the room. **For even longer lasting coverage, click here to read my tips on how to make your lip color STAY**
5. Too Faced Glamour To Go Palette | It’s a steal for everything you get in this compact-palette. There are options for glittery and bright eyes, as well as dark and smoky. This would also be great to carry around in your purse to take you from day-to-night if you’re on the go! ** For all-day stay, start with an eyelid primer like this one from Benefit**
I hope this list is helpful… I think I’ve inspired myself, and am off to go create a fun look for date night tonight!

Kirsten Kelly, a flourishing stylist based in Nashville and Los Angeles, has worked as a hair and makeup artist since the age of 17. Upon graduation from cosmetology school she began working in a salon, which she soon realized was not the right fit for her. Fortunately for Kirsten, several of her friends who worked in the music business at the time began hiring her as a stylist for their artists’ album-packaging photo shoots. Before she could blink, her clientele had grown as quickly as her makeup kit.
As a result, Kirsten’s talent and connections sent her to Los Angeles for nearly two years where she worked with Miley Cyrus, and a few others along the way, as a hair stylist. From star-studded events to exquisite hotels and jet planes, she was living quite the lifestyle for a 19-year-old, Southern girl. However, these experiences led Kelly to a profound and life-changing realization— no matter how glamorous, famous or beautiful, if a person doesn’t take care of matters of the heart, all is empty. This conclusion became the foundation for Kirstens mission in her work. She is passionate about helping both men and women in the entertainment industry find true beauty in who they are, rather than in a perfect exterior.
Back in her hometown of Nashville, she now works with some of the most influential managers, record labels and artists in country music: all while using her experiences to balance outer beauty with inner beauty (and great skin care!).
