Dr. Jennifer Lee appeared on Nashville’s WKRN-Channel 2 on December 15, 2013. Though the video is not available online, this is their story:
It’s the time of year where chilling temps and dry air can do a number on the skin.
Local dermatologist, Jennifer Lee, M.D., told News 2 this is the time of year where she sees many patients with dry skin.
She said sometimes it could lead to dermatitis. The disorder usually involves an itchy rash on swollen, reddened skin.
Dr. Lee suggests limiting your time in a hot shower, moisturizing immediately following a shower, and using a humidifier at night. She also said exfoliating too much will make it worse.
She said the brand of moisturizer doesn’t matter.
Dr. Lee opened her new practice in Franklin on Dec 6.
